Horizons in Action…

In preparation for Philip’s Centennial celebration in June, the Horizons Parks & Recreation Task Force set out to clean up Bad River Park.  Bad River Park had been flooded several years ago and was never cleaned up.  Many volunteers spent several weekends picking up debris and mowing.  The existing outhouses and boundary posts were cleaned, sandblasted and repainted.  Many people attending the celebration were thrilled with this effort as they were able to pitch tents and spend time in the shade there.

    Congratulations to everyone who worked on cleaning up Bad River Park!!! If someone has a major clean-up project (or a small one) to tackle, who should they contact?

    I suppose many requests would fall under the Parks and Recreation Task Force. Kelly B. may be able to help - or at least point people in the right direction.
